Tech & Counsel

Cookies

Cookies on this website.

Starting draft — the operator will review this before treating it as final.

A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to hold. This note is about Tech & Counsel, the education site. It is not a precedent for a product you are advising, and the lessons on cookies are study material rather than this policy.

Tech & Counsel provides education only. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and nothing here creates a solicitor–client relationship.

Strictly necessary

Signing in uses cookies set by the authentication system so the server can recognise your session as you move between pages. Without those cookies, a password sign-in cannot stay signed in. They are used to operate the account, to keep a disabled account out, and to protect the admin area. They are not advertising cookies.

The host may also use a cookie or similar token to route your request or to mitigate abuse. That is part of delivering the site.

Analytics

Phase 1 does not set analytics cookies and does not load Google Analytics or an advertising pixel. A later release may add a measurement tool so the school can see which public pages are used. If that happens, those cookies are a different category: they are not required for you to read or to keep your progress. The cookie note will name the tool, and a banner or an equivalent choice will be added before non-essential cookies are set. Until that sentence is rewritten, assume they are absent.

What you can do

You can clear cookies in your browser. Clearing the authentication cookies signs you out. Blocking all cookies will stop account features. Reading the public pages does not require you to accept a marketing cookie, because none is being set.

Draft prepared for Phase 1. If a measurement ID is added later, name it here before the script ships.
